My great grandfather. Edward was Willie Higgs’s father. He is shown as the father on Willie’s Birth certificate 013.
Below is his Marriage Bann from 1849, to Adelaide Rowe Hull. I think his profession is shown as a Fruiterer. His father looks like it says hairdresser but not sure. Adelaide Hull shows where Willie’s middle name comes from. Adelaide is showing as no profession though her father was a plumber.
“Edward Higgs was born 23.03.1829 in Bristol and died in Lambeth in 1849. His wife Adelaide Hull was baptised 13.03.1831 and died in 1889.” John Hood
Edward's baptism appears on 074 below but the original page in the book seems to have been re-written at some other time, so there are two entries - see the second entry at 074a
